Japan
Earthquake 11.03.2011.
Google has
launched an application that helps locate missing persons in Japan.
Entering the name of the person sought, Google offers information
through person finder tool on people who have "posted"on the
Internet an update to its state or condition.
This
application of Google is one way to know the whereabouts of people
in the affected area. It is the second time Google has used the tool
Person-Finder (Find-People) already made available to Internet
users after the earthquake that struck the city of Christchurch, New
Zealand, in February.
Google is also
working on developing other projects related to emergencies, to
provide better service in emergencies, such as presentation of data
required in relation to an emergency at the top of the usual search
engines.
